LGX Cassette Fiber Optic PLC Splitter is an optical passive device based on planar optical waveguide (PLC) technology, packaged in a modular box of standard LGX (Lucent Gateway Exchange) size. Its core function is to evenly distribute the energy of the input optical signal to multiple output ports according to the preset splitting ratio, so as to realize point-to-multipoint transmission of optical signals.

1. Core technology: PLC
Working principle: Precision optical waveguide pathways are made on a quartz substrate using semiconductor technology. The input optical signal is coupled and split in the waveguide splitting area.
Key features:
Split uniformity: The optical power of each output port is highly consistent.
Wavelength insensitivity: It can work stably in a wide wavelength range of 1260nm to 1650nm (covering the main communication band of single-mode optical fiber).
High stability and reliability: All-glass pathway structure, good environmental adaptability and long life.
Compactness: The chip is small in size and easy to achieve high-density integrated packaging.

2. Features of LGX box packaging
LGX (Lucent Gateway Exchange) box packaging is an important embodiment of Ningbo Goshining's standardized production. It strictly follows international standards such as IEC 61754. The typical width is a multiple of 1 inch (25.4mm) and can be seamlessly adapted to the LGX adapter panel of standard optical fiber distribution frames (ODFs), distribution boxes (ODBs), and cross-connect boxes (OCCs).
Standardized size: Conforms to the LGX shell specifications defined by IEC 61754 and other standards (typical width 1 inch/25.4mm multiples), easy to install in the universal LGX adapter panel of standard optical fiber distribution frame (ODF), optical fiber distribution box (ODB), optical fiber cross connection box (OCC).
Modular design: Plug-and-play structure simplifies installation, maintenance, expansion and port management processes.
Port protection: Provide adapters (such as SC, LC, FC, etc.) or pigtail outlets to effectively protect the end face of the optical fiber connector.
Internal structure: Usually contains PLC splitter chip, input/output fiber array (FA), matching glue, reinforcement components, etc., encapsulated in a metal or high-strength plastic shell to ensure optical performance and mechanical strength.
